CROPWAT

The United Nations' standard software for calculating the water needed to grow irrigated crops.

The first Windows version of CROPWAT was developed in Southampton in collaboration with United Nations / FAO and the National Water Research Centre in Egypt.

CROPWAT is in widespread use around the world.

It is probable that some of the food that you eat was grown on an irrigation project that was designed on the basis of the CROPWAT software.
